Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kyle is a Juno winning saxophonist with nearly 20 years of teaching experience. His most notable project, Dirty Catfish Brass Band, has taken Kyle to festival stages across Canada and has solidified him as a strong member of Winnipeg’s vibrant music community. He performs regularly with The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, The Winnipeg Jazz Collective, The Chuck Copenace Group, and has performed and recorded with other acts including JP Hoe, Royal Canoe, Begonia, Sweet Alibi, The Royal Canadian Air Force Band, Dr. Hotbottom, The Ministers of Cool, Sol James, JD Edwards Band, and The Hot & Dirty Dance Party.

Kyle enjoys teaching all styles of music while helping students build a strong foundation in sound production and tone quality. He welcomes students of all age groups and has experience teaching beginners and advanced students. In addition to a career in private instruction, Kyle has classroom experience working both as a guest teacher and a woodwind clinician.

Kyle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance from Brandon University and has attended various workshops including the School for Improvisational Music in Brooklyn, NY.

Kyle teaches at our Winnipeg Ellice location. His lesson rate is $30 per half hour.

Payment for each month's lessons is due in the first week of the month. Lesson rates vary with the location, instrument and the teachers' education and experience. Though some are lower or higher, on average they are between $25 and $31 per half hour private lesson. Automatic withdrawals on the 5th of each month make payments easy.
